He also made the stars

In those few words, the majority of creation is hidden.
He also made the stars, so casually mentioned, almost as an aside, in the Genesis account, contains the incredibly amazing act of bringing into being the - worlds - the zillions upon gadzillions of not just planets like earth revolving around a sun, but of thousands of stars like our sun, each with tens of planets, and galaxies each with billions of stars....the numbers numb our minds and the space and weight, and energy and revolutions this involves zaps our minds into awed silence...
He also made the stars.
More amazing is that He could, for our sakes, focus not on those gadzillion stars, but on His activity on one tiny planet circling one moderate-sized star on the edge of a moderate-sized galaxy...
And he could act as if His activity on that tiny planet was of more importance than the rest of the worlds....
And since He does not lie, in some sense it is true. Of course he loves those stars, too, but I'm still special to him. No wonderJohn could call himself the disciple Jesus loved. We, too, can be confident that we are the world, the people and i am the woman that he loves....
